This art installation explores the immigrant experience,
forced and voluntary human migration, BIPOC histories,
and systemic generational segregation. The artist
contemplates how displaced communities unite—despite
hostile environments—to sustain their cultural identities.
White X’ed panels represent historically excluded
narratives of color. The artist says, “We don’t have to
whitewash or censor stories. With understanding and
solidarity, we can tell a more complete, honest people’s history.”
